After spending the morning with these 2 lovelies (and their parents) I’ve got to tell you, there’s definitely something to be said for spreading out the birth of your children. These 2 made me think that having another baby now would not only be fun, it would be easy! Clearly I am not the one getting up in the night and neither is big sister…but still! No one can make a baby laugh better than a big sister, and is there anything better than a baby laugh?

This session was awesome
(yes, I went to my daughter’s 80’s themed choir concert last night and yes, they may have been some physical restraining to keep me from dancing publically. Well you can’t blame me, “Our House” is a pretty catchy tune…in the middle of our street…)
for about a million and one reasons and since I love lists/bullet points, guess what?

- Somebody thinks her mama is pretty funny.
- I’ve known this mama since graduate school (that’s a long time ago people) and I haven’t seen her much in the last 10 years so it was awesome (apparently that’s the word of the day) to catch up with her and meet her newest addition.

- Love how much he adores her!
- The reason I haven’t seen mom in so long? After graduating she up and transplanted herself to Ireland! So cool and I still swear someday I will make it there for a visit.
- So guess what that means about dad? Besides being a super nice guy and being very tolerant of all the girl craziness of the morning, he has an accent. If you know me, you will know that I think that is AWESOME. (And the idea of a tiny baby girl with an accent just makes me giddy….maybe I will get to see them again when she is big enough to talk?)

- Did I mention how awesome big sister love is? (Let me refresh your memory…usually when there is a small, adorable baby and a sibling, the sibling is a small, adorable toddler. Does not make for the same kind of photo opportunities.)
- Not to mention big sister is so great (or totally awesome) with her little sister and equally comfortable chatting with strange adults who keep telling her “how much she’s grown” and “how big she is” (totally made myself into my grandmother…how embarrassing .)

- Besides the whole great big sister, self confident pre-teen thing, did I mention how absolutely gorgeous she is? Ummmm, wish that was what my 12 year old self was like.

- Eyelashes. Awesome. Enough said.

- And then came the baby thighs and the bunny slippers. I was having trouble maintaining my composure. Pretty sure I squeaked out loud.

- Love, love, love.
- She’s such a soft, snuggly baby too. I tried to keep her for the afternoon but no such luck.
Happy Wednesday!
