I love newborns. I love every little, tiny thing about them. But I also love newborn parents. They come in all kinds, from nervous, sleep deprived, emotional wrecks (that was me) to calm, confident, and sleep deprived nice people. Well these guys were definitely in the second category. They were so calm and welcoming and trusting, not to mention in love with their little man.

Such a sweet little family.
(Proof that when I am in a session my brain is completely single-focused (and when I say single-focused I mean getting a feel for how the baby and parents are doing, checking out the light, finding the right spot, setting up all the stuff, aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc, etc…): I have met these guys before, and not just once either, but twice, and had a full on conversation with mom about her job too….but did I remember any of that until I got in the car to go home? Of course not. Then all the details started appearing in my head. How mortifying. Sorry guys…but I do totally know now!)
I know, I know, enough about my cruddy memory already. Here’s the star of the show…..

He is absolutely perfect….and he was on his best behavior for me (which I do love, but it really cuts down on my snuggle time, hmpf). PS love those cheeks!

His parents’ calm rubbed off on him. (That along with a warm house and a full belly makes for a relaxed, sleepy baby.)

Sweet, sweet little face. Love those lips and that soft baby hair.

Tiny baby fingernails. So perfect.

And tiny peeling feet…heaven!

Squeak. Love lots of parts of this shot, but especially his tiny chin, oh and his little hands tucked under his head.
And to start your Monday off right…a little, tiny, baby smile…..
Double squeak!
