I think that the day before Thanksgiving is the perfect day to post these pictures. I’m pretty darn thankful for these guys. They are the best kind of neighbors you could ever ask for. The kind that you adopt into your own family. The kind you don’t have to clean the house for. The kind that ALWAYS have chocolate chips when you don’t and you HAVE to make cookies. The kind that are on your kids’ emergency contact list at school and you know the kids wouldn’t blink twice if that’s who showed up for their emergency. The kind that is your kindred spirit (I’m feeling very “Anne of Green Gables”-ish and dramatic when I say that.) The kind where all the kids enjoy each others’ company, even though they range in age from 2 to 13. The kind that takes your hair maintenance into her own hands when you don’t and makes you haircut appointments when she makes her own. The kind who will have TGIF in the park with you and all the kids and bring the snacks and drinks. You know, the perfect kind of neighbor.
And they are adorable too (which doesn’t matter at all in the great neighbor scheme of things but it does make for photographer bliss). Here are just a few of my favorites…
