So I am a little biased right now and am posting my favorite shots of my firstborn today….mostly because he is being a sweet angel right now and sharing his "smokies" (think dog treat for a nine year old boy….he’ll do anything for one!) with his sister! As my sister likes to point out, he looks very European-soccer player in these shots, with his track jacket and shaggy hair! This one is my favorite because you can really see his sweetness in his eyes! The rest of these shots tell the rest of his story….part scientist/explorer, part 9 year old boy, part annoyed by his mother! Love you, buddy!

This was my first session with twins, just in time for their first birthdays. They are the sweetest, funniest little girls! they kept their mom and me laughing the whole time. They started out in these darling Christmas outfits….complete with fancy shoes and ruffly-bunned tights….by the end they were done with all the fancy stuff and were pulling their own tights off! That was perfect for me, because there is nothing I like better than bare baby skin….and look how yummy it all turned out! Here’s where I might be getting into a little trouble….I’m very hopeful that I am posting a picture of each girl. Their very patient mother has explained to me, more than once, how to tell them apart. Sadly, unless they are sitting next to each other, I still can’t get it right! Here’s hoping I got one of each! These guys barely squeaked in under the 2007 wire….December 28!! Just a few weeks ago. Anyway, I just loved meeting them and doing this shoot because it was apparent just how much they all absolutely adore each other! There were so many shots from the day where this little guy is just completely mesmerized by whichever parent is snuggling him. He was so mellow and serious through the whole thing….what a little sweetpea! Don’t you love that he looks just a little surprised by the whole thing?

This is definitely in my top 10 for the year because I LOVE that I totally know that the little Mr. is just sitting there patiently, thinking, "OK you guys, I’m still here whenever you get done with all the mushy love stuff"…..and I’m such a big believer in the whole "remembering that you still love your partner makes you a better parent" philosophy.

I know in this last one you can’t even tell that it is from this shoot….but I know it is…so it belongs in this group. I love this one for the small, yummy baby feet and for the "artsy-ness" of it!
