Benito, Tiny Dictator

Doesn’t he look demanding?? I love that his parents call him “the tiny dictator”…I so remember those days of having your life run by a very small being. Anyway, I saved this one for the last of my favorites for 2007 for a million reasons. All the ones I picked have an emotional connection for me one way or another, but this one is extra special because this is my nephew…my baby sister finally has a tiny person of her own!! I got tons of beautiful shots this day (he was only 5 days old) so it was hard to narrow it down to just a few…but here goes nothing…..

Isn’t she gorgeous? Rude, considering her firstborn is only 5 days old….I remember being puffy and haggard looking!

I love how much my brother-in-law loves his little boy…sometimes I have to arm wrestle him just to get a chance to hold my nephew!

Such a beautiful little family! Congratulations on your new addition, we are so happy he is here! Stay tuned…coming soon….another new nephew….last week my sister-in-law gave birth to their first and they are coming for pictures this week…can’t wait to capture their new little family too!

I love these photos! I am so grateful to have a record of what my tiny dictator looked like those first few days. He already looks like such a different little guy. Thanks Sissy!

Snowy Day!

Big excitement around here today….the kids are home from school for a snow day! Always a thrill! We’ve been out making snowballs, snowangels, snowboarding, and trying out a new lens…can you guess who did what?? Fingers crossed that we’re back to school tomorrow as I would like to be done with school sometime before July this year!!

Look! I’m actually in a picture! Miss M is going to be a photographer too! Enjoy the snow but don’t forget the fire and hot cocoa too!

Your new lens is working great! I can hardly wait to get mine. The pictures are so fun and the color is great. Nice picture Madelyn!

My Girl, My Girl, My Girl…..

(So clearly I like song titles and am singing right now….are you?) Today’s post are my middle kiddos 6 year shots. She is a funny little thing as she doesn’t like anyone else to take her picture, so I always feel so lucky when I get shots like these where she is totally doing her supermodel thing.

"Are we done yet?"

Isn’t she a doll?  (Of course, I might be slightly biased….love you, sweet girlie!)  Stay tuned for one last favorite shoot from 2007 tomorrow and then on to this year…..I should have some snow pictures from around here today as school is cancelled and I just got a new lens to play with!  Woohoo!!

She is (Win) such a cutie! I’m (the)loving the (lotto) dress. I like (and) how you have captured (I’m)the mischievious and sweet sides(in.) of her personality.

The Triple Threat!

You gotta love these guys! We had so much fun just goofing around taking these pictures! This is definitely one of my favorites from this shoot. This little girl didn’t want to have anything to do with me or my camera…..but I love this one of her and her mom….and I did get a bunch of gorgeous profile shots of her too….amazing eyelashes she has!!

Her big brother and sister were fun too, as I am so used to chasing around, bribing, and coaxing small people to sit or look at me….it was such a change to have them do whatever I said, willingly (unlike my children who are stinkin’ tired of the camera!) These guys are just all around gorgeous kids, with all that dark hair and those dark eyes…WOW! Thanks guys for a fun day!!

Sweet, sweet baby!

So these shots were all taken as a surprise for this little doll’s mom while she was at work one day. Boy did we have fun…. nothing more exciting than a secret mission! And the best part….this little cutie was in the BEST mood the whole time….she was like a little super model…..tons of smiles and giggles! Someday (when I’m organized) I’ll post her 1 year pictures too….so fun and such a big change in her!
