Nerves of Steel { Issaquah Family Photographer }

Nerves of steel?  Not me, no way.  I am a worrier by nature, so perhaps you can imagine the “quaking in my boots” that went on when I had the privilege of photographing this family.  If you are a regular blog reader you will know all about my fabulous-photographer-friend, Michelle.  (All those adjectives are stand alone…she is fabulous in general & a fabulous photographer, & a fabulous friend.)  Well, there is nothing more nerve wracking than photographing the family of a photographer, especially one whose work you admire, UNLESS it is photographing her whole entire, extended family!  All that build up about how nervous I was and it turns out, there wasn’t any reason.  Not only were these guys absolute photo superstars, they were dressed to kill (that is the undoubted bonus of photographing a photographer’s family….they know what looks good!).  Here are a few of my favorites…I’m not showing you all of them, mostly because I don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea and thinking that I photograph large, extended families on a regular basis…special circumstances only (like say, if she is swapping with me and shooting my extended family next!!).

The cousins….LOVE!

The fam!  (Super hard to decide if I liked the color or Black & white better, especially since the colors were so awesome!)

The mama who is never in the photos and her little darlings!  (Kind of mind boggling that we have known these guys for about 5 years…the girls were so tiny way baby then, and now they are so gorgeous and grown up.  Hmpf.  Not sure how I feel about that.)

Aren’t they adorable?  Not sure if you all know, but Michelle is married to Mr. Fun, who has been my trusty assistant soccer coach (and savior…couldn’t have done it without him) for the last 4 years and next year he is moving on to coach the younger girls team…boo hoo for me but hooray for the younger girls!)

And finally, a shot that I totally stole from Michelle…..

In case you needed to see what this session actually looked like (Michelle shot this one…obviously)….there is a reason everyone is smiling or giggling or flat out laughing in all the shots.  I may have to hire these guys as my permanent entertainment team!

I love them all! We had a great time and they turned out so well. Thank you for putting up with this uber controlling client who showed up with her own shot list!

BTW- I’m sure these assistants are happy to join you on a road show. You are just lucky Mr. Fun didn’t give you a we wiily in the process. That is what he does to ME when I’m shooting!
