So I kinda thought I was going crazy. My new camera had been awesome for me and then all of a sudden I couldn't get anything to focus….you may have noticed the blur lately….I was starting to think my eyes were failing. I tried everything I could think of….changed every focus setting I could think of, then I FINALLY broke down and read the manual. Turns out there is a fancy twisty knob on my newbie that controls the sharpness of the images you see through the viewfinder…it's called the dioptric adjustment knob….who knew?? Anyway, so glad I have been doing all the practicing with the new camera before I take it out for its first official spin….tomorrow night, elementary school luau….I get to help take the pictures….think dance photos from high school….cool luau accessories….the works! All that mumbo jumbo just to say LOOKY at the super sharp photos I got today! Woohoo!

and what would a post be without a little kitchen utensil king fu fighting?? OK, her face is not as sharp as I would have liked but that is because the spatula and her hand are in focus and I have a super wide open aperture because I'm taking these inside with not much light and that makes depth of field an issue….at least this time I know EXACTLY why it's happening. What a bloody relief!
