While jellybeans are an Easter staple (and this post will have Easter photos) the kind of bean you eat is not what I’m talking about.

Meet Jellybean. Ack! Could you just die from cuteness overload? Big H refers to her as “the bean” which I love and am adopting. And no, she isn’t ours (no matter how hard Annie might beg or how persuasive her persuasive letter to us about getting another dog might have been). We spent Easter with my big family and this little love is the newest member of one of my cousin’s family.
Since I hear photos were promised to certain far-away people that I love….here’s just a taste of what our morning looked like….
A red wagon, a big stick, and a faithful maiden to pull you around….what more could a boy want?
Ahhh…the joys of being the oldest cousin.
Seriously considering what her favorite Easter candy is.
Apparently Henry needs an armed guard while at the piano….please note large stick gun….luckily for me he’s a charming and friendly little bodyguard.
The lucky boy and his pup. (I am still surprised that Annie didn’t stowaway in the back of their car with hopes of living forever with the bean.)
The big girls counting their eggs. (Our egg hunt is a finely tuned machine involving a specific color egg for each hunter but this year more kids than colors so the big girls decided they could share purple…how noble.)
The littlest hunter and his one orange egg.
I remember when I could get away with putting healthy stuff in their eggs (like raisins and goldfish). Now they prefer candy (surprise). Some of them don’t even need the formality of an egg or a hunt, a big old bag of candy is just fine.
Annie trying to figure out how many more eggs she had left to find. That’s her math face.
Hope you all had a great Easter! We are on Spring Break this week so it will be quiet-ish here on the blog as it is sunny (hooray!) and there is fun to be had.

What a beautiful day and what beautiful kids having fun together.
I LOVE JELLYBEAN!!!
Annie, Madelyn and all of you are welcome to come and see Jellybean and the rest of us anytime
