Anticipation

The first look.  It is definitely the highlight of the wedding day for the bride, and especially  for the groom. Luckily this bride and groom opted for the pre-ceremony first look.  Hooray!  I love it for them because they get to have their own moment (well, except for Michelle and I and our cameras), and I love it for me because I can be a little closer to the action than all the way at the back of the church and capture more expression and emotion.  These shots are some of my favorites of the day, especially when they are together, in sequence….they sort of tell a little story…

 

This is the first time I have seen the groom on the big day.  I have just told him that his bride looks absolutely gorgeous and he better brace himself.  Can you tell he’s thinking about her?  His face just lit up.
