A Walk in the Park { Central Park family session }

You know sometimes you meet people and you automatically know you would like to adopt them into your family?  Well these are those people and luckily for me they already are part of our family (ok, it’s a pretty extended family situation, but still, I’ll take it!)  When I found out we were going to New York I immediately emailed mom, hoping that I might have the chance to photograph their adorable family (I photographed their girls last year when they were here visiting family for the holidays).  Not only did that work out super well (a session in Central Park?!), but these guys rolled out the red carpet for us!  I’m pretty sure they should be some sort of NYC city ambassadors of good will or something….I’m still blown away by their kindness and generosity!  And our time at the park?  So amazing!  (I may have gotten so carried away that I made them late to the birthday party they were headed to after the session….sorry….I got a little distracted!)  As you can imagine, I took more than a few photos, ummm, like more than I’ve ever taken at any session, ever.  Couldn’t stop myself….all the stars were aligned.  Central Park in December and it is sunny and sixty degrees (I had to take off my jacket), a wonderful, sweet, funny, and adorable family…I couldn’t ask for a better way to see the park!  Brace yourselves though.  It’s a long one today.  I couldn’t narrow down my favorites any further than this…..

Oh my…look at the little mischief in her eyes!

 

These girls have the most amazing eyes!  Light brown eyes are gorgeous.  (Not to mention completely infectious smiles and giggles!)

 

And I think these eyes are the definition of hazel….definitely green with some hints of brown.

I’m not kidding around about infectious giggles….

 

Both of their grins just make my insides all warm and fuzzy.  (Plus dad = total trouper getting his eyes poked out…thank goodness for sunglasses or he might have been blinded by cute little fingers.)

 

I can’t tell you how much I love that one.  Can you tell how hard she is trying not to laugh at her dad’s jokes?  (And do you think maybe, just maybe, she’s got him wrapped around her adorable little finger?)

 

Pretty sure these two like each other a little!  (And I’m sorry, how gorgeous is mom?)

 

Never mind the adorable kid for one minute if you can, how gorgeous is the park?

 

Right back to the adorable kiddos.  Having a hard time getting a photo of both of them looking at the camera is a good indication of how much they like each other.  I’m not kidding.  Almost every shot of them together involves snuggling, or giggling at each other, or both, which I absolutely love.

 

It’s true of all of them.  They really, genuinely, like each others’ company.  (I LOVE that family shot….definitely my favorite of the morning!)

Squeak!  Love these guys!  I can’t thank them enough for giving me such a fabulous tour of the park.  Pretty sure their isn’t a better way in the world for me to get to experience a place as gorgeous and iconic as Central Park!
