I love the years when Thanksgiving is a little earlier in November and I feel like we get an extra week to celebrate Christmas.  Someone should warn my children…I’ve got my Pandora “Sleigh Ride” station all set up, my itunes “Ho Ho Holidays” playlist ready to go, tunes for the car….they are about to get some holiday spirit!  We also started setting up our holiday decorations this weekend, but nothing gets me in the mood like a little holiday craft.  Thanks to Pinterest, this year there was no shortage of projects to choose from.  However, this project was the clear winner right from the very first time I saw it.  A long time ago, at least 10 years, and possibly a few more, I bought 4 coordinating Christmas stockings.  Clearly that was back in the days when I thought having 2 children was the right deal for me.  So every year since my sweet, littlest darling joined our family, I get a little grumpy at stocking hanging time.  (I do like things to go together.)  But no more.  I am in love with our new stockings!!  And they weren’t ridiculously expensive,  and they are environmentally friendly (in the whole up-cycled way), and they just scream “me” (sorry rest of my family…hope you like them a little bit too.), plus I am hoping to figure out something crafty to do with my leftovers (perhaps cover a pillow or 2??).

 

Step #1:  Goodwill hunting.  (I crack myself up.)  Granted this took me more than one trip (and I may have ended up with an extra sweater or 2 that conveniently fit me and are adorable).

Step #3:  Badger husband into McGyvering some sort of fancy hanging contraption.

Step#4:  Hang and admire.

 

Totally love that while they don’t “match”, they all go together…plus, I LOVE the sweaters I found.
