It’s getting to be that time of year….the time when it starts getting tricky to find an open spot on the calendar that lines up with some nice weather. Well I was super excited when we found a date that worked for both of us AND the weather forecast was calling for sunshine. But then it absolutely poured the whole night before our session and was pretty stormy all day and I was starting to look at my calendar for backup dates. Mom and I had arranged to check in the afternoon of the session to see what we thought about the weather and when we chatted she had more a little more news for me….there was a missed nap and a possibly tired little girl. What should we do? The weather sure looked iffy right then and add to that the possibility of non-cooperation made it look like we should reschedule. But did we? Oh no! We are brave souls. (Never mind that I have known this little lady since before she was born and I wasn’t worried one bit about her being uncooperative…..I think even on her worst day we could have gotten great images). We decided to throw caution to the wind and go for it and guess what? The sun came out (both in the sky and in our little friend). Jackpot.
Here are just a few of my favorites….

Look at those pig tails go!!

Impossible to be grumpy when you are splashing in a puddle (not that there was ever even a moment of grumpy). Also, check back later this week for me to get on my high horse about why I chose capturing the moment over technical perfection.

LOVE those big eyes and serious expression…plus who can resist her little tongue?

Super shots. How adorable is she. And I love the action shots – up in the air, hair flying…
