Platform 9 3/4 { Harry Potter Party }

Do you have your ticket?  Are you feeling magical?  Good.  It’s time to board the Hogwart’s Express.  But first, you will have to brave and run full speed at that brick wall and hope you aren’t a muggle!

Disclaimer:  My watermark is on all the photos though I am only responsible for some of the detail shots.  My fabulous friend, Colin Creevey, brought her camera and saved the day as I would not have been able to take any photos at all.  So I’m not trying to steal her thunder…I just didn’t want to put stuff out there unmarked and I’m relatively confident she won’t sue me.

 

Brick wall inspired by this Harry Potter party blog, though I admit, I was not quite as thorough as she was with her detailed painting.

 

Fancy sign = lots of looking here for the layout, a piece of melamine laying around the garage, leftover red spray paint, some amazing downloads from here and the Hogwart’s crest…just googled it so I could get one that had high enough resolution to print bigger.  Can I just say how awesome people are…there are so many blogs with so much information that people have taken all kinds of time to put together to make life easier for the rest of us!  Hooray internet world!

And then Colin Creevey got to work…can’t tell you how much I LOVE these and how grateful I am to have them!  Colin, you are AWESOME!!

LOVE that everyone came in costume (and please note that while the Snape-inator refused to wear his awesome wig, he did manage to stay in character.)  Also note that we are missing the 2 smallest party guests…Hedwig (who you will see about 4 photos down) and the Other Dark Lord (who you will hear about more in a later post, so now you will just have to wonder who it could be since clearly “Other” implies that it is not “he who must not be named”).

In case you can’t tell…Ginny Weasley, Hermione Granger, and Luna Lovegood (please note the beyond awesome radish earrings).

And they brought Hedwig…eek!  I can’t stand the cuteness…lucky me though, Hedwig is my neighbor so I can pet him anytime I want!  Jealous much?
