So this last weekend was my annual “token” camping trip with Survivor Dad and his crew. He has discovered his all time favorite camping spot and I wonder if they will ever go anywhere else….watch out Aunt Lisa! Here are a few straight out of the camera (SOOC) shots to give you the idea. Sadly I neglected to pull out my camera while the Adventurefamily was visiting…don’t even know if AdventureDad brought his camera?? (Any shots to share?) Guess I am kind of a ninny when it comes to breaking out the Canon near all that sand.

Climbing all over this amazing drift wood covered beach was one highlights of the weekend.
The other kid…or Survivor Dog as I am sure she will be called. Isn’t she getting big? And how stinky was she after her maiden voyage camping at the beach?

Sadly no pictures of the other highlights of the weekend….a divine crab feed, we were introduced to strawberry & chocolate flavored marshmallows, we got to see the amazing local baby bald eagle up close and watch him fly away, waffles with homemade strawberry jam-syrup (YUM) and spectacularly, while Henry and I were kayaking, a Pacific Harbor seal popped its head up about 5 feet away from us. (So glad I didn’t have my camera in the boat for that one as I most definitely would have chucked it overboard in my panic to paddle away….I’m only just a little skittish about stuff like that, I mean what if he had been part of a large pack of seals and they swarmed us and overturned the boat?? Poor Henry (& Aunt Lisa) got a good chuckle out of that one! Thanks Auntie &Uncle for letting us invade your beach and for all the hospitality! Stay tuned, later this week a 2 year old and some maternity photos! Woohoo!
