I’m pretty sure we all like to have our egos boosted….especially a temperamental artist, such as myself. OK, so I am being a smidge sarcastic with the use of the word temperamental, but it is funny to me how much it means to hear kind words about my work. Especially when I’m having a “not so inspired” kind of work day. Like the other day. But guess what I found that turned my day all the way around?
A sweet someone I know (who shall remain nameless as she is underage and I don’t want to throw her to the wolves and wackos out there), who is a passionate and fantastic photographer in her own right, wrote a blog post about her top 5 most inspirational photographers and looky what she said about me (I made the list! I made the list!! and in super good company with the likes of Ansel Adams too!)…..
5) Judith Fernstrom
“This one is special. I actually know this person personally (at least I like to think so), and don’t just stalk them on their website all day long. I’ve gotten into portrait photography mainly because of her and (attempt) to take photos at a similar caliber. I’ll admit, I do check her blog religiously and have read practically every post on it, so I guess that out of my top five inspirational photographers, she would have to be number one for that reason.”
Maybe someday she will agree to show some of her gorgeous images here in some sort of a guest blogger capacity…I have a long list of favorites I would love for you all to see! She has an absolutely amazing eye for landscapes (which is skill I do not possess….I cannot wrap my brain around it), and portraits, and is a fantastic writer as well. The complete package!
Anyway, thanks for the kinds words Miss K! I truly appreciate them and all the warm, fuzzies they give me. (I keep the post up on my phone so I can read it over, and over, and over!)
And what’s a blog post without a photo? Here’s a sweet, serious, and completely adorable little one from the other day…..
